Xbox One Will Read Some Discs but Not Others

Hey there!

Very sorry to hear virtually the issue. Have Xbox One discs stopped reading also? If your Xbox I console isn't able to read to Blu-ray's and Xbox One discs, but tin read DVDs and Xbox 360 discs (that are backward compatible with the Xbox One), that may indicate a hardware issue. If you're able to test different types of discs and written report your finding back here, we'll be able to decide what next steps should be.

I definitely encourage you to report this forth with any issues you encounter while in the Xbox Insider program too! Additionally, we practise have our Xbox Insider forums you can check in with equally well.

It wil read dvds and some of my xbox one games. Blu rays wont play at all. Sometimes it takes few tries of putting the disc in and taking it out but eventually it works or atleast information technology used to. I inserted titanfall 2 and it started right up. Sick try an xbox 360 game in the forenoon.  I tin hear the disc drive trying to read to the disc merely eventually it stops. Ill report my issue to the insider lodge too. Hurry up with the scorpio already and i wont have this result ;)

It's really strange. Some games will evidence upwards when I put the disc in and others won't. The discs that don't work are in perfect condition and work in other consoles.

I believe its the laser that reads your discs. I can tell you with my xbox information technology wont read whatever 360 games but will xbox 1. kickoff time I tried using a 360 disc information technology would not work and I had to use my ladys console. but personally I  think its your laser in the console. been my biggest issue with xbox consoles.

Sadly, and not to freak yous out, but i had this event shortly before my optical drive stopped working
